10-DEC-2019 VHF Mast Assessment

I ventured into the back garden about 20 minutes back. Didn’t stay there long, due to the hail stones. I took the opportunity to inspect VHF mast. Having yesterday removed two and a half trees from next to the boiler house I can better see the state of the antennas. The colinear and rotator cables look OK, but the feed to the Yagi is no longer strapped to the mast. It now loops down to the ground. There’s a third feed dangling from the eaves, and unterminated. It seems to have a taped over connector, I guess it used to feed a halo on that mast. I have a pair of these, one for 6m and another for 4m. The 4m halo is in the garage. I’m hoping the 6m version is in the workshop. If I’m really lucky my 4m and 6m verticals are in there as well. If the 6m vertical is in there I might stick it on the HF mast, to replace my much missed Diamond CP-6.
